Kortex is the new VR accessory to help you fight stress, anxiety and get a better sleep

Lately, a lot of small and big players in the virtual reality industry have been working to come with different accessories for your VR headset to improvise the VR experience in different ways. Some enhance the room-scale abilities while some offer haptic feedback, and so on and so forth.

There is one such additional named Kortex that aims at reducing your anxiety and stress levels and helps the users get a better and sound sleep. For this, you need to use the Kortex accessory for nearly 20 minutes during your VR gameplay sessions.

Kortex is an additional strap attachment for your VR headset and the developers of this accessory have claimed that this can be used with any VR headsets like the exiting Oculus Rift and Vive headset or even with the untethered ones like Gear VR and the Google Daydream.

The concept involved behind the working of Cortex is that it makes use of an alternating current applied via the electrode strapped to your temple i.e. to the back of your head. this will then reduce the cortisol in your brain and stimulate the production of serotonin. A medical technology company – Fisher Wallace Labs – say that two such 20-minute sessions a day will help you gain better sleep.
